Initial Submission

The International Symposium on Olfaction and Electronic Nose (ISOEN) is a leading global platform to advance research and applications in technologies for detecting odors, tastes, and complex gas/liquid mixtures. Since its inception, ISOEN has brought together multidisciplinary experts, from chemists and engineers to neuroscientists and policymakers, to explore the frontiers of bioinspired sensing, intelligent data analytics, and real-world solutions for challenges in food, environmental sustainability healthcare, and industrial innovation. ISOEN 2026 aims to accelerate the translation of laboratory breakthroughs into scalable technologies while fostering global collaboration through cutting-edge discussions and hands-on knowledge exchanges.

➡️Please do not include author names, affiliation information, nor acknowledgments in your paper. Author names, affiliations, and acknowledgments should be added in the final version of the paper after acceptance.

➡️Submitted papers must present original unpublished research that is not currently under review for any other conference or journal. Papers not following these guidelines may be rejected without review. Submissions received after the due date (January 5, 2026), exceeding the length limit, or not appropriately structured may also not be considered. Authors may contact the conference organizers through the contact form on the ISOEN 2026 website for further information or clarification.

➡️All papers submitted to ISOEN 2026 will be checked for plagiarism (50% will be rejected immediately, 31-49% special review process-rewrite is required, < 30% normal review process).

➡️Authors of accepted papers will be notified by email on Feb. 28, 2026. All accepted and presented papers will be published in the book of abstracts distributed at the conference. The authors of accepted and presented papers will have the option to submit the paper to the conference proceedings to the IEEEXplore.

➡️At least one author per accepted submission must be registered AND attend the conference to present their paper. One regular author registration will cover the publication of only TWO accepted papers. Student registration does not cover paper publication. For each additional two papers, another registration will be required.

➡️The scientific quality of the conference is paramount and ISOCS will support only original work to be submitted to the conference. For further details on the paper submission and review process at ISOEN please contact us.

➡️IEEE reserves the right to exclude any accepted paper from distribution after the conference (including, removal from IEEE Xplore) if the accepted paper is not presented at the conference.
